Better plane wanted!

To get upgraded planes in campaigns, "prestige-points" must be collected.
I tried a little trick to avoid flying long missions for success:
Opening "Documents/CFS3/Campaigns/ pilot XY/saved/cmpstat" whith notepad and changed entries there, points in gameplay are allways unchanged! I couldn't find entries about "prices" for new planes there---
--shown in simplay, are they also stored otherwhere?
Who is "superfilist" ad knows options?

I suggest looking in the campaigns folder at the campaign you want to play. You'll find this, towards the bottom:

C_AIRCRAFT_UPGRADE="2.5"

At a guess, changing that value will have some effect, although I have no idea what!

to unlock all aircraft I edited my pilotconstants.xml file:

AircraftCostConstant =0
PersonalAircraftBaseCost =0

then you can freely select whatever you want

(....it was not my idea, found it in the forum long ago)

Thanks oki, it works! Settings must be changed before campaign-start.
Another problem: In first missions only few planes are to fly, later more.
Where is that listed or can be edited :ques:
