Bf109E AEROPLANEHEAVEN E-3, E-4, E-7 airfiles & DPs?

Jaxon

virtually there
Hi all,

as always, I am tinkering here and there.
The Aeroplane Heaven 109 Emil is one of my favs. The model is more or less an E-4 is my impression, but I have skins for nearly all EMILs.

The E-3 and E-4 have only minor changes in armament, but the E-4/B is the first to carry an external bomb and the E-7 introduced the barely needed droptank.

Has anyone ever remodelled these in the "cfg files"?

I don't recall seeing any updates for any but I haven't looked too much at german aircraft.

The DP work shouldn't be too hard. Airfile not sure with out seeing it.

The E-7 needs a mdl touchup

The E-7 would also need a minor model change.

The opening on the prop spinner for an optional 20 mm cannon was covered. Any Emil acting as an E-7, with that hole in the prop spinner, would not be credible.

Akemi Mizoguchi's built a specific Bf109E-7 and Mauro Giacomazzi built the tropicalised version E-7T. Both available here at SOH.

Cheers!

The E-3 and E-4 had different canopies too - easiest way to spot a the different models in photos. The E-3 had a rounded top glass whereas the E-4 was squared off, had an armored windscreen and armored headrest.

You are all right about the visuals, but these are minor for my purposes.

Many E-3s were refitted with the newer canopy later during BoB is my understanding. So the same E model will fit them all to 95%.

I have the E-7 from Akemi. I will get that one out of the hangar and compare.
