Biplanes...biplanes...screenshot thread

Spent some time in this one last night trying to finish the last basic training mission in ROF.
Capt. Reed Chambers "Showbird" Spad circa 1919.

Robert Sanderson's Stearman in FS9, one of my all time favorites.

I see a hot, humid, and hazy day in North Dakota.

Here's a few. Some are port-overs (the GAS Waco Advance & the stock Fs9 Vimy) but all are favorites...

What is the beautiful red one at the top of your post, Roger? It's amazing!

Walter :jump:

Oh, and is it free?

Walter,
The red one is a Waco RNF along with that blue QCF in Roger's post, are part of the Waco F series package from Golden Age Simulations(www.goldenagesimulations.com) Take a look at the video link in Naismith's post above which will show all the GAS Wacos. They aren't free but are fairly inexpensive as they are a bit dated by FSX standards and are portovers from FS9. Although they are a little old, the VCs are still pretty nice and I think they are quite enjoyable to fly. The ASO is one of my favorites.(the one in my signature...albiet with a personal repaint).

If you want good free biplanes, look for Piglet's nice Waco UPF-7 or Ant's Tiger Moth, both shown in some of the pics above. There is also a nice free New Standard D25A on the Golden Age SImulations site :)

Sorry if I'm getting kinda annoying, but what is the silver one with the red top wing? Also, thank you for the info and the heads up!

Thank you again,

Walter

Jim Douglass's Gipsy Moth (FS9 model, but works in FSX as well)

I fold. The relics win. If I'd known this topic was old-er biplanes, uhmm, I'll go back to my paint booth now.
