I'm just starting the book for the second time. Available from Alibris Books (www.alibris.com), from where I buy 99% of my books, from about $12.00 on up. Memoirs from personnel at Kaneohe, Hawaii on Dec. 7, 1941, continuing through WWII. Many accounts of rescues in the Solomon Islands. Those crews were Guardian Angels, indeed.

I agree, that was a great book, I read it for school. The pilots in the Aleutians were truly amazing.

Have you read the biography about Gregory Boyingtons "Blacksheep Squadron" Good book also.
