Just received this in my email this morning:

Black Square Caravan Professional - discount offer

Dear Sir/Madam,

Three new Black Square Professional add-ons for MSFS 2020/2024 will be available soon:

As you bought the earlier Steam Gauge Overhaul - Analog Caravan add-on, we are offering you:

  • 20% discount on the price of the Passenger and the Amphibian & Cargo packs, if bought individually.
  • 10% discount on the Bundle, which includes both packs.
To buy these new add-ons at the discounted price, simply follow these instructions when they are available:

  1. Log in to your Just Flight Account.
  2. Click on the 'Your Orders' button.
  3. Locate the order for Steam Gauge Overhaul - Analog Caravan and click on the 'Download / Activation Details' button.
  4. Copy the relevant Discount Code which has been added there.
  5. Go to the Caravan Professional Passenger, Amphibian & Cargo or Bundle page and click on the 'Buy Download Now' button.
  6. In the Basket, paste your discount code into the 'Have a discount code?' box and click 'Apply' - this will give you the appropriate discount for that product.
These single-use discount codes will remain in your Account and are not time-limited.

Best wishes,

The Just Flight Crew

This will be a day-one purchase for certain!

I'm pretty sure all my Black Square stuff has come from JF. I think they may have an exclusive deal with them, other than maybe the in-game Marketplace.

Sim market does sell some of their stuff. I checked and that is where I purchased the original steam gauge 208.
I don't think they sell the second generation Bonanza and Barron there.

Version 1.1 is out. The changelog is way to long to include here, but can read it the extensive list of changes here. I've downloaded the installers, but won't have time to run them until after work. I'll let y'all know if there are any glaring issues.

Currently over the North Carolina Sandhills area heading into W88. The new sounds are quite nice, and I'm not sure if the updated lights apply to 2020, but they do look pretty realistic in daylight. I'm definitely not mad I bought it!

I love it.
Has anyone ever heard of using the inertial separator for water operations?
There is little information on Caravan float flying I can find.

I think that's standard practice, but I'm not sure. If you pull up the Engine tab on the tablet, you can see if there's anything being ingested while you're on the water.

On a side note, even if you have all failures disabled, watch your torque. I kept getting the Chip Detector light yesterday even after clicking the Repair Engine button. I finally realized I had bumped the throttle into over-torque range.
