Blackbird/Miltech Simulations release MH-60 for MSFS2020

I am aware that there is not a very large rotorwing following in this community, but my goodness:
TWO significant releases within days, for this sim!
Looks spectacular.

It looks to be an excellent product. Just wish I could get the hang of helo flying in the sim!

This is a must-get for me, but I think I'll wait until I install 2024 after SU3. Same for the S-76. I love pretty much anything that flies, but the bigger helos are a bit of a soft spot for me.

Back in FS9, the small egg beaters were way too twitchy, but the big ones had enough inertia to sort of self-stabilize before they got out of control before I could adjust my control inputs.

The big difference I discovered between swingywingys in FSX/P3D and MSFS is in MSFS you need to always keep trimming, just like in a real helicopter. Inertia is still messed up, but with attention paid to main rotor trim you can generally hover and fly quite satisfactorily. Also, make use of the assistance features if you don't have rudder pedals.

My X56 does too, but it gets tiring on a longer flight.
Most (modern) helicopters have trim buttons on the stick for yaw and pitch.
I have found it quite easy to set and forget once underway, with only small manual corrections for gust etc.

... and of course the bigger ones have autopilot!
This particular bird is so inertia-heavy, you have all the time in the world to telegraph your intentions.

Does the EFB Tablet work on the FS2020 version? I can't get it to show and there doesn't seem to be any nomenclature on the EFB

Seems all to be done with keybinding and MFD commands, rather than EFB.
Although I haven't worked through all systems, still just playing at the moment.

Not at this time. Devs have a pretty big list for the FM and still trying to get Xbox version out.
I got a direct reply from them last night, they said there is no need for the EFB in FS2020 as the Keyset on the panel handles everything without an EFB.

OK, I had bought this beautiful aircraft a few days ago, and finally got around to do a quick test with it a little while ago ( I had to switch my controls from Truck Simulator).

I have a controller adjustment question. I am using a Virpil Collective, which is WELL.worth the cost! However, there is one thing I need to adjust better. When I apply enough Collective to begin raising the helo, the movement is not as gradual as I'd like. Try as I may, no matter how carefully and slowly I move the Collective, the aircraft lifts quickly, about a foot or more. Likewise, on landing, when the helo reaches a foot or so above ground it drops.

I am wondering if what I am dealing with has to do with "ground effects"? NC

I just have a twist-grip joystick for the helos, and it has proven extremely docile, right out of the box.
Even off a moving surface:

FM is still getting tweaked, I'm on 2020 but I know 24 has some changes. Currently hover torque is too low based on weight, but I'm not sure why it would be acting that way, maybe a stick deadzone issue. You are shooting for a 10' hover. Big issue now is lack of turn coordination in turns with and without autopilot. IRL this helo is more maneuverable.
