Really tempted to pick this one up, but I'm holding back a bit. IMHO the price is a bit steep.

Anyone else have the issue with what appears to be Startup Smoke being constantly on? I submitted a ticket and mentioned the issue on their Facebook page but it appears myself and maybe a handful of users are having the issue.
 
This is investigated and could be conflict with another addon. Do you happen to have the SSW SF260? If yes try to disable it and see if it cures the issue.

Bought it... a bit of mixed feelings... maybe I expected different things.

Pros:
- Flies very well in the air
- Smooth animations in the cockpit and gauges
- Great modelling/texturing and details
- Great sound
- Real as it gets GPS

Cons:
- Touchdown feels unnatural
- Right wheel is stuck
- Missing TACAN/TCN support (apparently the USAF did not build it in, some other operator do)
- Although GPS is real as it get, some compatibility with the default planner would have been nice
- Checklists are not interactive (would expect that for this price-level)
- The high price

That price did surprise me I must admit. Will ponder but wait anyway as the website says hotfixes are in the works:-

A bug has been reported where exceeding 120 kts with flaps extended will cause the aircraft to roll uncontrollably.
Our team is working hard to patch this as quickly as possible.

Another minor issue is causing inop instruments in VR. This can be remedied by moving the eye-point into the other cockpit using the key commands and thereafter using only the camera dialogue to change VC.
This problem has already been addressed and a hotpatch is due for release presently.
 
I bought it, and so far am quite pleased. One thing that had me perplexed until someone from Blackbird Sims explained it. Turns out when you click on the safety pin for the seat, it "relocates" it to the canopy handle (for storage while flying). So when you are through flying, you click on the pin again, and it is then reinstalled into the Ejection seat. Other than that, I like the model. Did a couple touch and goes. The aircraft is somewhat squirrelly after touchdown. Practice, practice. NC

How can an add-on aircraft that is not loaded affect one that is loaded? I have heard of other conflicts between an aircraft that you are trying to fly with another that is on your computer, but for the life of me, I can't understand why this would happen. Does anybody here know why? I am curious. Things like this bring out the engineer in me and I want to know WHY.

Guessing here: if the aircraft is being used by your traffic settings, then it is loaded. But I'm sure the really knowledgeable people will correct me.

It could also be a conflict of effect names if both planes include their own smoke and those smokes share the same name.
 
Not the first time this has happened with an SSW aircraft. I have their F-104s disabled in Addons Linker and only select them (and no other planes) if I want to fly them. There was a smoke effect that would persist on the side of the 104s if they were loaded along with the MSFS Constellation, for instance.

Someone who has purchased the T-6 should report this, though. It's not Blackbird's responsibility to be compatible with other companies' planes, but since they're most likely to have an update coming at this point, it would make sense for them to update this to reduce customer support requests and for customer happiness.

(I don't have the T-6 yet, so not my place to report it... Interested in buying and flying for sure, but still catching up on my backlog, so likely will wait to hopefully pick it up at a more reasonable price around Black Friday.)
