Blackburn Beverley???

Not just aircraft you know, we had that in surveillance vans. Not so much fun for the ladies though. :biggrin-new: Look away officer.

I've actually wondered about that in the past.

As for the Beverly, I'm definitely looking forward to being able to fly this again, especially with MJ's talent behind it.

We had a single "P-tube" in the "Sea King". On a cross country flight out of NAS NORVA one night we had to circle a VOR (FAK) four times so the whole crew could say, "We pi$$ed on a 'flat rock' during the flight".

Originally wanted to do it for P3D PBR only but have decided to do FSX as well.

:encouragement::encouragement:......for FSX!

So......none of these aircraft ever found their way into military surplus sales...? You know.....Alaska....Northern Canada...South America..? I'm certain a few slipped out....I'll check the Encyclopedia Photoshop, under "Buffalo...."

Maybe it's just my Magoo Memory....

I doubt it.
IIRC the economies of operating the Beverley against the US built alternatives ensured that it was not a serious proposition.

The Beverly was only ever operated by the RAF.

That looks awesome, Manfred! The Beverley is such a wonderful example of weird transport/weird British design.

I really appreciate your efforts and I'm glad it looks like you're going to "ship" it! I know it'll make a lot of folks happy to get a chance to try flying it.

C'mon, c'mon, boys.

I'm musing realm of fantasy. Something the flightsim excels at.

Hint: Encyclopedia Photoshop?

:very_drunk:

Sorry, I thought you were asking if it had genuinely been flown by civil operators. As for fantasy 'what-if' liveries, I agree - it's a very good subject.

I actually saw what I think was the last ever flight by a Beverley when it flew in to the old Hendon aerodrome and became part of the RAF Museum. I was bunking off school at the time.

This is the FSX version with more rivets and panels, plus specs and bumps. Next on the todo, a Middle East camo paint...
