Blinking 2D Panel

Hello:

I've recently installed CFS2 on a new computer (i7 920, ATI 5800, Win7 64bit, 6GB). It seems to run great! Graphics are awesome!

BUT. . . the 2D panel binks on and off. If I uncheck the "grachic acceelration" option under the settings, the problem stops, but the graphics quality is then quite poor.

I've tried different OS compatibility settings and different graphics card settings, but to no avail.

By chance does anyone know if this can be fixed?

Jeez, bentwing, I have not had that problem. By default my "enable hardware acceleration" is ticked. I'm sure one of the boys can tell ya how to overcome your problem. Hang in there.
 
Thanks! I sure hope so. I've had a hard time getting in to CFS3, so wanted to have the old standby. This is also my first rig with an ATI card, so my first thougt was that may be the problem, but. . .:isadizzy:
 
I have a laptop with a Nvidia 512meg card. With it I use the cards settings rather than 'application controlled' to give an excellent result for CFS2....

Except for one bit - if I put the antialiasing at 8x I get a similar problem to what you describe. To get rid of it, I drop the anti aliasing to 4x.

Try doing that or use the 'application controlled' option with your cards control program.
