BMW 801 Engine Run (FW-190 powerplant)

I unfortunately just came by this now, but I guess back on June 7, the very talented crew at Vintage Radials/Vintage V-12s, conducted the first engine run of a BMW 801- believed to be the first time one has run, since the immediate post-war years. I believe this powerplant will be going into one of the few original Focke-Wulf 190 restorations, being restored to flying condition - most likely Paul Allen's.

For those already accustom to hearing the almost tractor-like sound of the Chinese/Russian Ash engines that power the Flugwerk 190's, note how amazingly smooth this original BMW is! Sounds a lot like a P&W engine.

Is there a way to rip the sound file from the video? Then it could be converted to a wav where it can be broken down into segments and used to make a sound pack.

Thanks for the link John! I think it was the first time I heard the original sound of a BMW 801. IN most documentaries, there is either music over it or a narrator.

Cheers,
Huub
