BN-2 Islander

Picked it up as well--Thanks for the heads up!

And thanks for the shockwave lights and the link to the different VC's!
Rick

The alternate vc color textures are here: http://www.mirage4fs.com/Alphasim/.
:ernae:

Oops, sorry Frank! I forgot you were the one who did those! :redf:
Thanks for doing those, and also for linking them. :applause:

BTW they look great, Frank.
The gold panel goes well with Chris "Eagleskinner" Brisland's San Juan repaint. :ipepsi2:

Just FYI for others interested.
I set them up like RealAir does with their VC textures, separate VC texture folders and then edit the texture.cfg file for the corresponding repaint to display them in.
Makes it easy to swap panel colors that way, just a quick edit of the first line in the texture.cfg file.

Hey Everybody,

This is my first post in a while here, just popping out of the woodwork after a major hiatus in FS flying, FSx feels like a new sim now! I always try to look for good deals when they are available, as money is a bit tight, so with that in mind, and not wanting to dampen my (or others - it looks like a great little plane with awesome visuals) enthusiasm for this aircraft - just a minor question, do the switches make a sound when clicked - the rest of the sounds seem to be very good, having watched/listened to Mark's review. This could be just the plane I need to spice up FSx, bar the odd supersonic jet-fighter or GA trainer. :)

Craig.

just a minor question, do the switches make a sound when clicked

Yes they do, and rotary knobs make a racheting noise when turned.

I got this at a sale a few weeks ago...but the price wasnt as good as this! Been waiting for ages for sale on this one and I thought it wont go lower than the price I got it at...was I wrong!Great model though...one of my favourites...now how to work out that KLN-90 :icon_eek:

I wasn't happy with the way the popup KLN90 gps window looked, so I modified the panel.cfg as below. (I use widescreen). Maybe someone might find it useful.

[Window02]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=800,250
window_size_ratio=1.000
position=0
visible=0
ident=30
window_size= 0.500, 0.250
window_pos= 0.000, 0.000

gauge00=Flight1_BN2_kln90a!GPS, 0,0,800,250
gauge01=Flight1_BN2!KLN90_popup, 770,0,30,30

To suit my preferred .60 zoom I also changed the eyepoint in the aircraft.cfg to: eyepoint = 3.10, -0.85, 0.78

Repaints ?

Are there any military repaints, as well as any other cool paints jobs for the hot aircraft? I just got it.

light.3 = 2, -6.30, -24.70, 2.19, fx_shockwave_strobe_sm
light.4 = 2, -6.30, 24.70, 2.19, fx_shockwave_strobe_sm
light.5 = 10, 3.35, 0.00, 1.00, fx_shockwave_vclight
light.6 = 10, -4.65, 0.00, 1.00, fx_shockwave_vclight
light.7 = 5, 1.00, -21.95, 1.91, fx_shockwave_landing_light_small_xenon
light.8 = 5, 1.00, 21.95, 1.91, fx_shockwave_landing_light_small_xenon

I Just purchased/installed this plane today (12 Oct) and for the life of me, I do not see the nav lights the red/green lights on the port/starboard wing tips.
I looks at rogers pics to see where they were supposed to be and I don't see them on mine. I used this script (shockwave and did not see them) then I reverted to
stock lights same issue no red/green wing tip lights. See for yourself. It looks light all the light switches are in the on and I pressed the "L" key and no joy.

EDIT: I reinstalled the BN2 and now I see the lights, must of had some files jumbled up during the 1st install. Secure from General Quarters....
