Picked up a light fix for the use of shockwave lights, this works for the 300,400,500 equally. You need Shockwave lights. A vast improvement.
Here is the relevant change, just copy and replace in the aircraft cfg file.

And the CFM56-3 sound package referenced in previous post is definitely the best IMHO for this series of Boeing as it was recorded from real aircraft.
Scott6 - re the panel stuff. At the moment I would have to say the way the default 737-800 references stuff back to the mdl file and texture mapping a gauge workover is not going to work to retrofit this bird. It seems for some peculiar reason the primary panel drivers are actually popups not the VC config so my thinking is that the default 737 was actually a 2004 construction that was given a makeover to go into FSX, for example everything in the switch department on a pop up displays and clicks as it should and the changes are reflected in the VC you cannot get the VC to do the same thing without a popup. While I can get the Honeywell FMC to work on the pedestal I cannot find a way to install any other stuff, like weather radar at the moment. Not that it matters that much, the instrumentation and switches on the glare shield panel is accurate for the type so the only thing that is different is the wide size EFIS stuff, but again some have it so again, no serious problem.
I have performance data for the type as well if your interested in V speeds etc, handling, operating notes.
