You never know. It's always been one of my favorites. I think it was a B-17D named "Mary Ann" that starred along side John Garfield in the WWII classic "Air Force"

Although close, the B-17 "Mary Ann" was a B-17B, 38-584, that was upgraded to a B-17C configuration (as seen in the movie). It has often been said to be a B-17C, but the serial number of the airframe, which has since been proven as I've noted, illustrates that it originated as a B-17B.
I personally would love an early shark-fin B-17 as well, with those beautiful early control yokes, fuselage blisters, etc.
