Well, here I am again a year later down at Boeing field waiting for the blue angels to go on their practice runs for the airshow this weekend at the hydroplane races. Always exciting. Bunch of folks here with me as well as we line the roadway waiting. As I am sitting here I notice a white bubble wrapped plane across the way at the museum of flight. Looks like a b17 but not sure. Four engines on her. Got my gopro cam and will try to get some shots today. Anyone else here?

3 angels set up to go. Number seven is out so looks like someone is going for a ride. Wish it was me!

Ughhhh!!!!! I hope I didn't miss the shot again. Last year when the blue angels were landing they do that very cool break away right over the runway. They are really buzzing and when I tried to film it I got nothing but parts of the plane in the video. So this year with gopro wide angle I am assured of getting everything in the shot. As two of the angels were coming in for that maneuver I started the cam. After the shot I looked at the screen and it said memory full!!!!!! Oooouch. I hope I got it but will not know until I get home and hook up to computer. I can't believe it. It like trying to take a pic of big foot....the shot illudes me. Still brought tingles to my skin though, Love it!

P-51,P-40 and P-47 just showed up. On landing they had a 737 on their but chasing them down the runway. P-47 just cleared the runway exit ramp as the big guy touched down behind them. Think I will just hang here today and chill as planes come and go. This is the life!

Ok, this taken from my cell phone to show you that last maneuver....I love it. It is Loud, powerfull, shakes everything around you and you can only muster up this HUGE smile when they are done.<embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid721.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fww215%2Flimjack%2FBlueangels.mp4">

The shrink wrapped plane just north of the B-47? If so, it's a B-29.

I believe that it was one of the photo or recon planes for one of the nuclear bomb drops in WWII.
