For our historians in addition to the bases below what MAJOR bomber command bases should be included in the sim. Realizing that we have a limitation on what the game can have without CTD for the night operations. We should be able to handle 15 or so.
Linton-on-Ouse
Lichfield
Hucknall (sic)
Andover
Abington
Mildenhall
Winslow Hall
Scampton
Middle Wallop - Beaufighters and Mosquitos
Manston - Beaufighters and Mosquitos
Gransden Lodge
Waddington

Any other suggestions welcomed!!

Well just FYI for all, there are quite a considerable number of bases used by BC and NF/Intruders in the period between late '42 to early '45

Thanks for sharing that spreadsheet James. Also of interest are the various global layer files in the ETO and BoB installs which, thanks to the outstanding work by FlashGordon, are a mine of information.

Yes, really difficult to know which to leave out. Some of the Expansion Era bases were closed to flying for months in 42/43 to have hard runways laid with some re-opening as OTU whilst there was much transference between Groups as these expanded and re-located. Some like Marham, were closed in 1944 to have their runways extended to accept anticipated deployment of the B-29 which didn't happen as production was fully committed to the PTO.

Anyway here's my two penneth: Bardney; Binbrook; Bourn; Breighton; Burn; Chedburgh; Croft; Dishforth; Driffield; East Moor; Elsham Wolds; Gransden Lodge; Graveley; Grimsby {Waltham}; Hemswell; Holme-on-Spalding Moor; Kelstern; Kirmington; Leconfield; Linton-on-Ouse; Little Staughton; Ludford Magna; Mepal; Methwold; Middleton St George; North Killingholme; Oakington; Pocklington; Scampton; Skipton-on-Swale; Snaith; Swinderby; Syerston; Tholthorpe; Upwood; Warboys; Woodhall Spa; Wratting Common; Wyton.

Is that from ETO 1945 gsl? I am using the 1943 version, but I suppose that I could compare. We may end up with 2 versions of TOW II; one very stripped down and another less stripped down, mainly WRT scenery and texture dds size, ships cut down to mainly English Channel and S. Baltic ones, Vehicles non TOW related and similar stuff removed. AI ac much simplified.
