Well, in today's politically correct military they probably couldn't do anything with camels or cartoon Arabs because that would offend Muslims. They couldn't do the name of their aircraft due to security concerns. They couldn't do classic cartoon characters because of possible copyright infringement. They couldn't do portraits of wives or sweethearts because that might demoralize the troops who don't have any love interests. They couldn't paint skulls, devils, monsters, or naked women because that might offend Christians. Conversely, aircrew of Hispanic, Irish or other Christian backgrounds who might want to paint Christ or the Virgin Mary couldn't do it because that might offend atheists. They couldn't do aggressive slogans like "We get ours at night" or "Kill 'em all" because that would not fit our image as peacekeepers. So basically you're limited to a plain leather flight jacket. Oh wait, make that simulated leather so we don't get complaints from PETA!
