Br2 planes and talons' cbi....

trying to get Talons CBI theater up and running again and am running into some problems. First it seems that none of the BR2 plane will load and keep getting that #@@#!% prompt that " mission improperly formatted...." At one time I had the whole thing running great until my crash. Anyone have any ideas why none of the BR2 planes will load? EVERYTHING is as it should be but they just won't load. Could it be a Airfile problem?

Check that your sound folders. It could be they're aliased to somewhere else. If you can load the BR2 planes in FF & QC, my guess is the aircraft name in the .mis file doesn't match the BR2 aircraft name(s). This can be either AIRCRAFT folder or the names used in the aircraft.cfg file.

....thanks for the reply. The first I checked was the sound folders. I have them aliased to a central sound folder and other planes (including P-40's) will load in QC/FF, just not the BR planes. I'll check the mis folder but I used Morton's utility to check and it indicates that the planes are right.
Really in the woods here as they worked in the previous CBI that I had setup on a drive that crashed.

My CBI is running OK although in Windows XP. The BR2 P-40's seem to be OK in FF and missions.I haven't been in this theater for a while. What can this old guy do to help?

But have you tried adding an actual sound file rather than an Aliased file ?

...HI!:wavey: I did try that also. In addition I have several other P-40's that are aliased and work perfectly. Ran a QC mission with another plane and suddenly I am dog fighting a B-17 and another P-40 even though they were designated in the utility as Allied and as they are designated as they are supposed to be. Me thinks that something happened to the utility during installation and therefore it is not working right. Keep getting a "Out of bounds -1" message. Hate to have to do a whole installation.
 
Eureka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.....I found what was causing the problems!!:jump: First , the reason that the BR2 planes wouldn't show is that the panels are aliased to the F6F Hellcat and with a dedicated CBI theater there is NO F6F Hellcat. At least in the early years.
Second, the problem with the QC utility had to deal with my proficiency in spelling and not using my eyeglasses.:banghead: Found that there are not two "L"s in Flight!!!:redfire:

So far all is properly showing, will try the missions later on.
