break-up when scaning

Flight Sim Junkie
Hi,

Anyone know what causes the render to "break up" momentarily when scanning around in the vc. It's like I need to turn on a horizontal sync option or something. I don't know if I am explaining it correctly but the best way I can describe it is that I see horizontal lines where the view is not perfectly matched up for a moment and then it goes away once you stop turning your head (I am using track IR).

Thanks,
LouP

I do get this sometimes.....I usually just turn down my card settings a little bit, adjusting them, and then all is good.

Hi and thanks,

I added these three lines to my FSX.cfg
ForceWindowedVSync=1
ForceFullScreenVSync=1
HIGHMEMFIX=1

As I run FSX in Widowed mode and came accross the HIGHMEM during my research. And I am also using the fps limiter now but the tearing is still there. Any ideas or other tweaks around?

Hi Roger,

Thanks for geting back. I have them as lines 1,2,and 3 under graphics. While I think that there may have been a little improovement, the tearing was still pretty bad. Epecially on the stantion closest to me in the cockpit. I am going to see how how the nVidia option for vsync works in DX10 in a bit but I don't have any high expections. If matters the graphics card is GTX480.

Back to the game for now :running::applause:
