Bristol Beaufort Sounds

At Rami's request, I've copiled and uploaded a sound set for the Bristol Taurus 14 cylinder radial engine. This set comes with a twin engine configuration meant spefically for the Bristol Beaufort, and is supplied with an optional single engine configuration for use with the Fairey Albacore and the Fairey Battle. Also supplied are optional starter wave files for those preferring the Coffman style starter sounds with this pack. As I could not find a recording of the Taurus, these sounds are a "best guess" of what this engine might have sounded like, including a rough "out of tune" idle to replicate it's history of poor reliability. Hopefully, it'll be up and ready for the weekend. Hope you enjoy! :USA-flag:

Lawdog,

Thanks for being so generous. These will come in handy! :ernae:

Erm :kilroy: the Fairey Battle had a Rolls Royce Merlin I engine.

Looking forward to replacing the unknown sounds I have in my Beaufort though.

You don't know how much I look forward to trying these new Beaufort sounds. As a Beaufort designer I am truly grateful to you!

Beaufort

merlin2, I built these sounds using the Beaufort 1-b by William Renwick. Is that you, by any chance? If so, thank you for a marvelous series of aircraft.

That's him! Just so y'all know, the Mk. II used the Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp.

It is a real honour that you made the sounds for my bird. Thanyou very much! I really look forward to trying them soon.

just tried it - terrific - thanks Lawdog2360

I couldn't find its use in the Fairey Battle either, I checked that page. I figured it might have been a testbed or something.

I just love the new Taurus sounds! great stuff! Also the effects, gear, flaps, etc. And the annoying stall buzzer is gone too!

Sound is such an important part of the experience.

thanks again.

And thanks to Ravenna for the great Beaufort skins! I love it.
I know that Beauforts were flown with SAAF at Madagasgar. Anyone nave any knowledge about what they looked like?
