Does anyone know, a Brabazon that work in CFS 2 or what i have to do that the Bristol Brabazon worked in CFS 2?

Hi Manu,
Welcome aboard!

Here's a few pointers...

If you cannot find an ac at the SOH then always go and search at Simviation.com and Flightsim.com. (there are many others but these have some of the biggest data bases)

You'll usually find what you want there..also you'll pick up goodness knows how much other stuff that looks good!! :d

Now with the Brab there is a very old Fs98 version and an alternative skin. An Fs2004 and an FSX/Fs2004 version. All convert and fly in CFS2.

The Fs98 flys without converting but with panel required. The two others will need running through a model converter called mk_MDC v2 (available at SOH, when the site updates have been done) to convert to use in CFS2. There is a separate panel available to add.

So grasshopper (;)), get downloading and converting! And don't forget that all ac in CFS2 need the standard file structure ie like that of the standard CFS2 ac to work (even if they are empty!).

Come back if you need anything and good luck!

Cheers Shessi

(new username - Superstation2000) Thank you very much because I love the brab so. But I can't find the mk_MDC v2! I have found the
MDL Converter at Simviation

Well that's a first SS2000!! :isadizzy:

That version, I think, is an old weapons making version mdlc 142. Not what you want.

When the files are back up at SOH, downoad mk_MDLC v2, that is the automated version and works well with most (but not all) ac conversions.
They should be up this week, if not PM me and we'll see what we can do!

Cheers Shessi

I don't know guys, is there enough room on our monitors for that beast?

It will surely take up the entire screen!

Discovery Channel had a Wings program devoted to the Brabazon years ago. It was quite the project, but in the end died a painful death.

Another huge commonwealth aeroplane of the same time frame was the Saunders Rowe Princess.

I found these photos on the web and they help shoe how big a plane it was.

Early Days of British Jetliners.........

When you posted the Bristol Brabazon..............

I immediately thought of the early days of British Jetliners..........

Very pioneering............

Of Course........when I see those jet intakes....

I also see the De Havilland Comet.......

And.......

I think of the Rutland Reindeer...and the movie ...."No Highway in the Sky"

And.........yes ...........some planes are big.......and look distorted in the external view....

There was that German Flying Boat..........it got a fish eye look in the external view........it was so big

But.....it was still fun to fly
