British Gliders by Baldy released!

UncleTgt is manfully working his way thru the stuff I heaped on his plate so the Hamilcar may well appear soon - but you can't rush an artist

baldy

Well you can try ...:fox:, but you know what I'm like once I have a template on the go...:p87:

Horsa MkII

Have just uploaded the Horsa MkII which saw action at the Rhine crossing - the hinged nose gave improved loading / unloading capability.

UncleTgt has also provided several skins which illustrate its varied career ranging from Europe, the Middle East to India

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - British

Description: A development of the original Horsa which gave increased load carrying capacity and easier loading/unloading. This was brought about by hinging the fuselage just behind the cockpit and equipping the a/c with a double nose-wheel for extra load bearing.

The Mk. II entered service in late 1944 and saw action with British airborne in Operation Varsity in March 1945. (The Rhine crossing)

It remained in service until after the war seeing service in Palestine and trials in India.
