Bruno's Spitfires - can't see them!

Hello all,

Ive installed these lovely-looking planes in my aircraft folder, as I have done with umpteen aircraft in almost a decade of FS ... checked the aircraft.cfg files, models - but I cannot see them in the sim to select as an aircraft for either quick combat, free flights, etc.

Now, I know I'm not the quickest and sharpest .... but I can't figure out what is wrong. Anyone care to enlighten me?

thanks!

Delta_lima,

Did you look at the sound.cfg to check and see if you have the corresponding aircraft?

Check This:

By The Numbers, Then:

- All Names must match [.DP / .MDL / Aircraft .Sim Name in aircraft.cfg]
- Panel must have info
present [at least a Panel.cfg file]
- Sound.cfg must be present and/or correctly aliased
- Correct name must be in mdlnames.txt, Info.dat, and qc_plane.qcb

If all THAT checks out, then I Just Don't Know...

Did I forget anything, gang ?

Got it - sound.cfg was aliased to a plane I don't have.

Funny, in FS9, the worst thing that happens is you have no sound - not that the plane doesn't even appear in your plane list as happens here.

Dropped in the Hurri sounds - works like a charm.

many thanks - learned yet another thing today ... :ernae:
