Building CFS2 aircraft

Hi Browncoat

I build for CFS2 using FSDS v2 but unfortunately this will not work in a post Windows XP set up so what you have to do is create a vitual machine in your computer where you can run XP. ( I think with FSDS v3 you can build in the newer Windows but not CFS2 only FS9 and above - then you convert to CFS2 )

I use VMware-player-12.0.0 (freeware) to create the virtual machine which houses Windows XP in which I've loaded FSDS v2, Paint Shop Pro 7 and an install of CFS2. That's basically all you need to get started - what you must remember is to work OFFLINE when in the virtual machine - this keeps you out of harms way. The great thing about it is you can switch between your Windows 7 and XP.

That is about as simple as I can make it - give it a go

good luck

gMax with the FS2004 SDK (both free) will work just fine on Win7 but you will need a virtual machine or some other emulator to run MDLC.exe so you can convert the model from FS2004 back to CFS2.

I use gMax with the FS2004 SDK but I still have XP so I don't need a machine or some other emulator to run MDLC.exe.

[QUOTE = baldy; 990005] Browncoat Hi
thank you for your very interesting models. New for CFS2 become rare.
Personally I am still waiting a good 63 Potez II and Yokosuka E14Y. Could you build?

Again thank you
Dombral
