• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Building up my DVD collection

The last couple of days I've been downloading movies and putting them on DVD.

So far I downloaded-Sink the Bismarck,Midway,Flying Leathernecks and The Blue Max. This weekend I plan on The Battle of Britain,Fighter Squadron and God is my Co-Pilot. I wanted to get Tora Tora Tora but the link is down.

Others I plan on are-In Harms Way,Airforce and a few more as I find them.I haven't gone through everything yet.

If you can get them Al, may I suggest 'The way to the Stars', 'Twelve O'clock High', 'Landfall', 'Reach for the Sky', 'Dambusters' and 'Angels One Five' All classics from the '50's. :)
 
And 633(/630 Sqn?), Mosquitoes. Reach for the Sky. 30 Seconds over Tokyio. Dive Bomber (Errol Flynn, Fred Mc Murray). (there's an RFC/WW1, one too: name escapes....)
 
I seem to remember that you're not much of an ETO guy but I enjoyed 'Piece of Cake' very much - but I admit I was around 16 then. It's not a film but it was one of the first series I ever saw where almost every main character dies (Oops, plot spoiler, sorry).
