Buzzbee Western Air Adventure to Argentina

The head stewardess was serving Gin and Tonics prior to our departure, so management has decided to take the shorter hop into Cartagena. There is some conflict about the airport destination. I only see SKCG in the flight planner and charts, but the race rules show SKVC which we can't find in our FS 9 charts so we are filing to SKCG.

Takeoff Weight 92100 lbs
Payload 20,000 lbs

Down safe at MPMG - Almost landed at the wrong field, but made and extra turn around the area, double checked the charts and decided that nice long, well lit runway was not the one we wanted.

Flight time 1:45.39
Fuel used 2,977.7

At least the night legs are over with.

Safe landing at SEGU after some drama. For some reason the fuel system was a little strange and drained the right side tank completely. For a little while we were flying on #1 & 2 alone. Managed to get #3 started but never could get #4 to start and I was almost there and did not want to risk killing 2 good engines.

Flight time 3:08
Fuel Used 5622.5

Safe landing SPLP

Down safe in Lima. Nice flight down along the coast and the Andes mountains.

Time 2:56.09
Landing weight 87526

Data from Last Flight

I was unable to get back in after my last leg due to the incident.

Here are the files.

Departing SPLP for SLLP

This is a challenging mountain leg. Some of the management was arguing for a more daring direct route, but I was able to convince them that we needed to fly down the coast and climb before we turn inland.

Takeoff Weight: 93694
Payload 20000

Crash on Takeoff.

Was not getting full power (Beyond the fact that the airport is at 13000 feet) and stalled. Should have aborted before I was going too fast. Looks like there was a control issue with the throttle.

Reset and got off the ground successfully. Used the entire runway and had to keep the nose down.

Landed safely - SCTI

Flight Time was 5:20
Fuel used was 11,440 pounds

We were a little heavy prior to landing but received permission to make a few fly by's and then toured the local area which allowed us to get down under max landing weight.

Departing SCTI for SACO

After a nice rest in Santiago Chile we begin our next to last leg. A short 400nm run over the Andes. Looks to be a bit of a challenge to get the altitude needed to cross the peaks.

Take off weight 91207
Payload 20000
