Lucky guy Ed!
(but I hope you carefully explained what "Panther" means in conjunction with "simulator". or did you have to leave before the landing?) :173go1:

Things have come a long way since my first ride in a DC-8 sim with the first 'nighttime -only' external visual display by CAE

I don't think he's implying that he was there. I don't even think those guys are American. I wonder what country they are from?

Nope, I wasn't there...Only sim I've been in is the A-10 sim when I was stationed at Davis-Monthan.

Guy on the left is Norwegian - joint training at Altus AFB :)

Norwegian, they have a thin blue cross inside the white cross, we danes keep it simple, red and white only :).

And, I want one of those sims !, wonder if they'd notice if I sort of borrowed it for.....the rest of my life :), that or C-5 or KC-135 would suffice, maybe a nice card to Santa might help ?.

Mr P, do you have a source link for that images please, image name looks like a official USAF press release, cant find related images in my searches yet and highest official C-17 image is 090406 so its not in the archives yet so must be a current press cutting ?, sadly the USAF press site isnt as organised as the USN one, you just cant beat official press images for size and detail.

Best

Michael

Addendum, never mind, found the page :).

It appears at least one of them is Danish or Norwegian.

Hm must be for those NATO aircraft that are planned/ordered? That looks great really. Would love to give it a go (and probably crash it in the most horrible ways possible).
