• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Description: C-87 Liberator Express converted for CFS 2 by UncleTgt
This is a conversion of the Liberator Express v2 for FS9 by Jim Nelson & Jaap de Baare. I'm afraid most of the animations didn't port over, but the rear door still opens & closes (SHIFT + C), but she flies, & she burns well when shot at!
I left the RAF skin as per the original, but changed the USAAF skin to match a grainy B + W photo of a C-87 in China, bringing fuel & supplies over "the Hump" from Burma.
The dp file is basically the same as the Alphasim B-24D dp, but with some cargo payloads that use the FDG C47 cargo bgl objects.
The airfile is one of the latest of many B24 airfiles. The sound folder has just the cfg file left as a placeholder. You'll need to provide your own B24 sound files.

To install, unzip the download to a temporary location then place in your CFS 2/ AIRCRAFT folder.
Thanks to
Alphasim for making the original G-MAX files of the B-24 available for use.
Jim Nelson & Jaap de Baare for creating a C-87 frieghter for FS9.
AGAS 5 for his B-24 texture blanks.
This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions
