I have installed the updated C117 for Prepar3d v4.3 and everything is working fine, except there is no smoke at engine startup. Am I missing something?

Thanks
Dick

Hello,
nothing was forgotten

but the files must be added to P3D before they can work.

Do you have any other effects missing, it could be a P3D setting.
As you can see, the files work in P3D v4.

I just double checked mine, and all the effects are working fine for me as well.

I have my add-on aircraft installed outside of P3D.

I hope this helps. Other than that I would check if other aircraft show smoke effects, and if not, like Nick mentioned, then have another look at your settings.

I have both those files in the effect folder.....still no smoke.

When I read you post again, it raised possibly a dumb question.
Did you copy and past the FSX and P3D folders to your effects folder? As the respective folders contain more than two files, and a texture folder with two additional files.

You should only have to copy the content of the respective FSX or P3D folder to your sim's effects folder.

Forgive me if I am asking the obvious.

I do not have the Texture Folder inside the Effect Folder. Where does the Texture Folder com from?

p.s. The C47 latest version works just fine.

Thank
Dick
