CAC CA-15 mkII very rare problem!!I can not undestand why

Hi,I download a exelent model CAC CA-15 mkII. :wiggle:

I can fly with it, but If I select like IA, cfs2 crash!.

I reeplace all files in mode to test where is the problem, I sink that it is in the model file.

Any guru can test or explain that it is what happens?.I can not understand why I can fly with it but it can be not play with the IA.There is not a .air problems!:toilet:

I run the mdlc 142 to convert and fix mod, but it has not done anything :gameoff:

Any has the same problem?meaby it is only a problem with my computer,I have win 7

Max,

Some models converted from other MSflightsims retain "lights" instructions when the mdl converts. This causes CTD when you try to use it as AI.

I think this may be the problem.

I'm afraid someone with SCASM skills would need to try to correct the MDL file.

i think that u must to check the .AIR file too! IF u need something , i´m standing by amigo! :salute::wavey:( i can check the model if u wish but i´m not a expert) Is rare to write in inglish to someone that speak spanish like me, but you know!:icon_lol:
 
There are 2 different downloads for 2 different simulators there at Simviation. Are you sure you downloaded the CFS2 plane ???

yes, I download the ca15_mk2_cfs2, Y try with two files of this model !the problem is the same.
Crash cfs2 in IA!!

Any can play with it (in IA)?

There are other CA-15 model in sinviation, but it has not breaking parts!!

Hola, reemplace todos los archivos, ¿tu lo pudiste usar controlado por la maquina?
Me interesa ese modelo porque dice que es rompible

Si Max lo pude usar sin problema, me gusta el avion y como se comporta , ni idea donde podes tener el problema!:salute:

CAC 15 AI

Tambien tengo el problema con el AI. No puedo utilizarlos porque el simulador no funciona con ellos.

I also have the problem with the AI. I can't use them as the sim crashes with them.

Me refiero a que si puedes seleccionarlo como enemigo, luchar contra el, si puedes hacerlo, ¿que sistema operativo tenes? ¿win xp o 7?
 
If you use Mdlc 1.90, there's no need for scasm work in eliminating the adverse effects of lighting on AI usage. Version 1.90 was written with a lightstates-eliminating feature built in.

Now, since this mdl is already converted to CFS2, you obviously can't do another straight conversion from CFS2 back to CFS2. So just run the mdl through Mdlc 1.90 to change the model size and/or shine and 1.90 will also eliminate the lightstates in the process.
 
Well darn. That sounded like an easy fix Bearcat; but when I try to install V1.90, I get a warning window that V 1.90 is not compatable with my OS (Windows 7).
 
Yeah, that again, eh? I keep forgetting about all the Win7 users out there. Conversion-oriented guys who stick strictly to Win7 are in an odd pickle -- can't do anything with Mdlc. That's why i insist on dual-booting WinXP and Win7 together...gives me the flexibility to get some work done. I'll look into this later after work.

Where I can download the MDLC V1.90? I will try like you in Win 7 but It is the 32bits version
 
I think that I need to rebuild an old computer for off line use and use an old copy of XP on it. Then I should be able to fly CFS 2 well into the future.
 
Hey fellas,

I'm sorry to report that i'm not able to help with this. I used all the known tricks, including scasm edits, but still no joy. There's something here beyond the usual suspects, i.e. lightstates, crash_check and damage0 flags, that i can't seem to find. Looks like its gonna be a player-only model until we can unravel this mystery.
