Cadillac F1 2026

It would be good to have a pair of seasoned drivers to get them up and racing but I thought the plan was 1 experienced and 1 American driver.
You could stretch the Checo inclusion as an 'American' and while I regard Valtteri highly he doesn't fit the profile.
He is an honory 'Australian' BTW.

Not a lot of American drivers that would qualify I think, don't see Sargeant making a comeback...

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but does Colton Herta automatically get a "FIA Super license for Formula One" because he has driven a single seater for at least two seasons, or does the FIA has some additional requirements for drivers who have a slightly less European racing background?

Because I understood this was a problem for Colton Herta in 2023, but I don't understand why he had insufficient points on his Super Licence.

Cheers,
Huub

At the moment (a few months after this article was written, I believe it's still "no"). But it does offer a solution for him.
