At the moment (a few months after this article was written, I believe it's still "no"). But it does offer a solution for him.Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but does Colton Herta automatically get a "FIA Super license for Formula One" because he has driven a single seater for at least two seasons, or does the FIA has some additional requirements for drivers who have a slightly less European racing background?
Because I understood this was a problem for Colton Herta in 2023, but I don't understand why he had insufficient points on his Super Licence.

Thanks for the clarification Ferry!Huub, here are the rules regarding acquiring an F1 super license: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIA_Super_Licence
As you can see, Indycar is ranked slightly below F2, and Herta needs to finish at least 4th or higher in this season, but half way through the season he is now only tenth.
