• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

OK, I hope the staff here doesn't take exception to this. If they consider it inappropriate, then please moderate as needed. I will add that this website of mine is a sister site of SOH in the sense that it shares the server.

Anyway, for those SOH members who are also fans and/or alumni of NC State University, I kindly invite you to checkout and join a website that I own dedicated to discussion of NC State athletics and alumni connection.

It uses the same vBulletin software used at SOH and Ickie is the server admin so the site features all his wonderful security hacks and protocols.

My whole family went to NC State. We are all originally from Raliegh/Cary I am fowarding this on to my father and my sisters.

Hmmm ... I am the admin!

I'll check on that. Shouldn't be that way far as I know. However, having thought about if a few more minutes, this is possibly a result of Ickie doing the server work. He may have elected to termporarily suspend new accounts simply to prevent someone joining and having his whole membership accidently deleted.

I will check to confirm.

How's this for a fast reply!

Ickie just replied to my email. He did temporarily turn off new registration due to the server work he is doing. And, in his reply he said it is turned back on. So, please try again.

Just another example of how tempermental servers can be and how awesome it is to have someone like Ickie to manage them! :engel016:
