Calling out Aerosoft

If you from Aerooftl, I seriously have a bone to pick with you regarding the recent addons like Bali and the revised products for v4

they are brilliant and Im find more and more places to fly around regions I wouldve never thought twice but bali tops the cake thus fas as its in a world class of its own and I swear if i had to choose Bali over any FTX prodduct you guys win

along with the updated airports you and your partners have done in scenery development they are all a fantastic job,

I wasnt a huge fan of your stuff for a long time as ORBX covered where I was flying , how ever with the introduction of FTX global, ive been flying all over the place exploring the globe and the Mediterranean is fast becoming my favorite place( mainly due to your hard work with your partners) even a tad bit more than my home country

I have to say give yourself a hug and a pat on the back, with devs like you and Tampa and FSDG, you guys are rapidly becoming the favorites of mine, while is orbx continues todo some great work, there are a lot of runways that I wont even consider flying to due to the size restriction

keep up the great work, Im busting a nut waiting for the revised 320s and up coming 330 plus your JU52

but more so Singapore, im so egar to see that on my system

I'm not from Aerosoft but... Wow!!

I notice Bali is not specifically mentioned as P3Dv4 compatible on the Aerosoft site, Matt ?... Are you using it in v4 ?...

Thanks!

cheers,
Jan

it installs into v4 without any problems

aerosoft used use bali for the v3 and v4 comparison and they found no problem

Now Matt, you need to stop the bone picking, immediately. You are making those of us who bitch, whine, moan, and curse at these developers look like the immature crybaby, selfish, narcissists we are. How are we going to get the developers to pay attention you our little complaints with people like you praising them?

Why just the other day, I had to wait 24 and one-half hours for a customer service response. Response within 24 hours, my a$$. With you praising them they will think that they don’t need to provide me with an upgrade that has several new features beside a V4 installer and working gauges. I mean for the amount of money most of these developers are charging for these V4 updated installers, you would think they would provide animated copilots in the right seat that raise and lower the gear for me.

But Nooooo, not when you sign their praises to the Internet heaven.

BTW, you know that repaint you offered to do. You think you could squeeze 227 more in for me?

lol dont worry when im on my high horse i need a cherry picker to assist me to get on its back,

If i could find a pic of a person on the back of a huge horse ringing a bell in 1 hand and a loud hailer in the other,it would be >inserted here<

While im praising some devs for the quality, trust me I not praising all devs for their support

im normally the one here sticking a middle finger up at a dev, this is one of those few occasions the middle finger has become a thumb

In the past 12mths I honestly feel that aerosoft have turned up the quality notch up several clicks which to my surprise is quite refreshing compared from the early stuff i bought and disliked

I have to honesty have to praise these guys for pushing the detail out and doing everything to keep the CPU/GPU impact down, instead of the old, you need to tweak your system or buy a bigger computer

im have a very short memory(measured in seconds) which repaint that may be?

LOL. That's hilarious Matt. I love the large gap (pause) after your opening sentence.

I have long been a fan of Aerosoft too. Starting with a few of their still brilliant German mega airports they continually produce (publish) interesting destinations.
I also really love their Airbus package. Although it's not 100% a study sim it provides enough simulation of real features and some great additions like the co pilot and spoken checklists. It has become my most used airliner.

Watch out for the street vendors flogging 'kebabs', they tell you it's Chicken' but in reality it's 'Dog'.
:barf:
And thanks for the HU, looks like I will be shopping Aerosoft soon.

In Um Quazr port in 03 doing prissoner transfer there was a street vendor selling these mini kerbabs that just contained a meat and some sauce, it was something 3or 4 for 1 us dollar

I was so bloody hungry thought why not, I bummed a dollar of this US Sgt who laughed and warned me, at that point I closed my eyes and ate them, today i keep telling myself it was chicken

those mini chicken kerbabs filled the spot

however check out Bali airport if your looking for something its 2.5 from Darwin via Dilli over some great mountain ranges if you have some good mesh

it was chicken and im sticking to my guns about it

Heading into Singapore tomorrow, been through there heaps over the years, love it, not quite as much as flying into Hong Kong, absolutely love coming in over the islands and looking down at all that shipping every where.

Pretty much decided to pull the trigger on V4 when I get back into Aussie and always happy to see which developers are stepping up to the mark

Been using the Aerosoft PBY recently in V4 and it works fairly well, but there is one nasty bug where when I switch from the PBY to any other aircraft the entire Sim freezes. Not the worst thing since the flight is already finished but still, no what I would expect.

nup I stand corrected, theyre now asking for a at least 16euro for each of the Airbus bundles updates to P3D V4

to be polite they can go #### themselves

Yeah, that's not great. I've only had my Airbuses for less than a year, so I will be annoyed that I have to pay more to upgrade them. I bought the entire bundle (A318/319/320/321) when it was on sale at Just Flight, and they are my most used aircraft by far. I have recently been getting more and more in to tubeliners, even following real world routes, airlines and flight and tail numbers.

I actually just came to the SOH forums to post a few screenshots with Airbuses.

Maybe I'll just bypass the Aerosoft update and buy the P3D V4 version of the FSLabs Airbus.

same i only bought them earlier this yr to mix the tubes up, i was becoming a bus fan over the pmdg models due to the copilots and atc chatter, but at that price for the update FSLabs might be looking at my money as well or i might look at some of the copilot and atc addons for pmdg

no point trying to finish the paints i started this week

i still cant fault them for scenery, but airbus stuff im not sure i will be returning anytime soon at the current dollar value

another thing i dont get they post update status for the a320s in the 228 plus pages for the a330 preview thread and get upset when you start a post asking about the a320 or expect you to find answer of something in those 228 pages ffs why mix the 2 packages in one Almighty thread that gets a new post every few minutes

rant over, i need to fly the dc6 for a while

To be fair (and I don't think you are), Aerosoft have said this is something like 60% new code. I doubt there are many developers that would provide a substantially updated product for just 16 Euro!

Not to mention that they're publicly stating this price now to avoid people buying the current version and being unhappy.

The products that just needed an updated installer are being dealt with at no charge.

Interesting point Paul, I happen to know one of the programmers for the Airbus. He mentioned a short time ago there was a completely new upgraded version of the Airbus about the appear. With a rebuild of the code the 16 Euros is like buying an entirely new aircraft. Definitely a bargain. I have dealt with Aerosoft for as long as I can remember. They are more than fair with their prices.

funny, PMDG didnt ask for money for the ngx or 777, A2A didnt ask for an update fee and all their products embrace all the v4 features, I know a few others who decided against fees to update to v4 and know a few other devs still trying to rewite codes who wont charge

if the model was so far behind in the times, shouldn't that be their problem not the consumers?

like I said im looking at nearly $50 for the updated packages plus the $70 odd that I already paid, and some people it will cost more than that

the rough price of the update will cost nearly as much as the sim or the original product

Matt, you have definitely made your point. We are all free to make choices. Knowing this is an almost completely new aircraft not just updated to P3D v4 64bit I will definitely be purchasing it. Thanks for your input. There are definitely two sides to this Aerosoft story.
