can my system use an ATI 5870

Gents.....I'm utterly at a a loss to know whether I can bung a new graphics card into my system or what I'd need to change. DX Diag gives me the attached info and I'd be very grateful if any of you who know about these things might help......Thanks...gaw
 
AFAIK the 4800 series are PCIe cards, like the 5870, so in theory you could. The biggest question would be whether your PSU is big enough, plus whether there's enough room on and around the motherboard for the card to fit - some modern video cards are rather bulky and can render an adjacent expansion slot unusable.

Thanks HS.....guess I'll pick up a 750w PSU and keep a small pry bar handy to jimmy the new graphics card in if the MB proves baulky. Cheers...GAW
 
An option, If the case is not long enough you can always remove the hard drive cage (if it has one) and then install the drive(s) in a cd/dvd slot
