Can you shorten the distance an aircraft can take off?

In my PTO I have two aircraft "3ja_b5n-2" and the "3jn_b5n-3." Normally Carrier Based.

The "3jn_b5n-3" will clear the bow of the carrier and clear the waves on takeoff at full throttle. The allowing me to go wheels up. It doenot matter whether I use full flaps or Wep.

The "3ja_b5n-2" on takeoff will continue beyond the bow of the carrier on takeoff at full throttle. As if on a normal runway. Whether full flaps or Wep. I even used the speed sequence from the "3jn_b5n-3." Min "35",Max "207", Cruise "155." No change? My success rate varies. (I am trying to be polite).

My question concerns the "3ja_b5n-2?" It appears this is one of the aircraft that is normally used in PTO Carrier Missions.

I hope my explaination is worthwhile.

just a thought- I believe full flaps on take-off would slow one down and by rights you should set flaps at approx. 20% (or less?) to avoid the air brake effect of full flaps (?) :engel016:

(of course, carrier take-offs require a few odd tweaks just to simulate/compensate a variety of issues)

3 clicks of flaps and weather file with wind. Carriers always turn into the wind to launch their strike aircraft. You may need to open the weather files with notepad to see which ones have wind specified.
