Canions Hs 129 - confusing aircraft codes

SOH-CM-2023
I recently installed Canions Hs 129 together adding Mortons textures and the optional dps pack. Doing that I got a little puzzled about the naming of some of the textures and historical facts, because as an example there never existed a 4./SG9 as entailed in Canions liveries. Frustratingly, doing some internet research I could not find a aircraft coded "red H with red bar" (the bar should show the 2. Gruppe as far as I know) nor the "right" unit and I got more and more confused about the topic . Now, does anybody of the research cracks have a clue about the codings of the "Dosenöffner"? Where there any rules? Could it be that the same codes have been used by different units? I do not know if this is the right place for this post, but lets see.

I have looked into the matter again, only to realize that it becomes quite a complex undertaking if one wants to do it properly. Consequently, I had to put the project on hold for the time being, and I am unsure whether I will pursue it further given my limited time due to professional commitments.
In my view, the difficulties involved in correctly identifying a specific aircraft stem from three main factors. First, some online sources offer contradictory information regarding the group structure of the early Schlachtgeschwader 1 and 2. This also leads to the challenge of assigning the correct squadron color to the respective Staffeln. Finally and at least in my opinion, there are issues with correctly interpreting the color schemes (blue versus red and yellow versus white) based on photographs that are almost exclusively available in black and white. All these factors combined make the whole matter rather convoluted and difficult to unravel - at least for me.
