Can't remember how to fix an old issue

I remember seeing this issue years ago in FS9, but can't remember what the fix is. I've got "icebergs" stuck in my scenery (see desert pic). It seemed to be worse up in Europe, but I've got them in North Africa as well (pic).

Anyone know how to fix this? I seem to remember it being a pretty common issue early on. This is a pretty new install of FS.

Those icebergs are icebergs..not missing scenery textures. I fixed the problem by deactivating the icebergs in the default.xlm file in the Autogen folder. I will attach it for all who want it.

Willy - I have Obio's fix saved as a separate file, and keep it in a folder away from the FS for possible future use. It works.

Obio - I tried your free scenery update advice in one of my FS9 iterations. Just wanted to say it seems to have made a remarkable improvement in appearance and function. Thanks!:salute:
