Captain Sim 777

It is semi out. It is being released the same way the 737 was, through incremental updates as a prerelease beta. you get a discount off of the final release price if you buy it while it is still a version 0.X. You also get to participate in locating bugs and defining functions for the final release. If you are not willing to put up bugs and missing stuff it will not be for you.

Dave

Dave, to correct you: if you buy the 0.x version you get all the updates towards version 1.0 for free!

Hank

Was just an omission. You are buying the released product, just early. You are absolutely correct, you will get all updates including 1.0 and beyond with no additional cost.

Dave

Not simply a way to not pay/reward the beta testers but, more, to make them pay for their work/time.
Absolutely genial.

Actually not. I did not participate in the 737 but did watch the threads and most of the people participating would have paid the full price for the product upon 1.0 release so they did get something monetary for the involvement, but more than that, the problems brought up by the much larger tester set were fixed before the 1.0 release giving a more robust aircraft at actual release. I have purchased V1.0 aircraft from other vendors at full price and still not seen the bugs fixed a year later. I think the Capt Sim system is working.

Dave

I have now bought the latest version and join the many on other forums facing problems just getting it to work properly. Installing, re installing, getting patches etc eventually takes the pleasure out of a product. It all looks good but wow does it drain your patience. :isadizzy::pop4:
