Captain Sim C-130 body roll while taxing....?

Hello Gentlemen,

I was just wondering if anyone would know how to change the excessive body rolling (tipping) of this aircraft while taxing? Also during take off the left wing dips quite a bit too? I have had a play with some "contact_points" (9 and 11) in the aircraft.cfg file but to no avail...? A very helpful chap at another forum gave me some advice but this has not helped so I thought I would ask here at SOH being primary a Military based forum, someone here may find the same problem very annoying and have a solution?

Am I the only one whom thinks its a little over animated and could be toned down a bit?

Hi Tim, do you have Accu-feel installed? I find that makes some aircraft roll like that. If you do use it, try turning down the "side forces" in the "Land" settings.
 
How about your fuel load? My C-130 seems to never have equal fuel distribution and tilts while sitting on the ground.

Hello Dave. My Accu-feel does not have that option, only "shock absorpbtion" which I have maxed out but still tips. As for fuel load (simulloyd) the tanks are all equal. I am at a loss?

Accufeel has a "Side Forces" slider under 'Land' - I have found that if I put this to zero, body roll reduces dramatically while taxying.

Side Forces is the last of the 5 options in 'LAND'.. Cabin Integrity.. Shock Absorbtion.. Brake Squeal.. Tire Screech.. Side Forces. I have version 2, not sure what the differences between this and v1 are. Rather than crank the sliders up, try backing them off.. effectively reducing the effect of Accu-Feel. Alternatively.. turn land off completely and have another look. Some models do work better as the developer intended.. that is, without Accu-Feel;)

1. The gear is "soft" as it needs to be to absorb loads on rough fields and high-rate landings, so it will be 'rolly'.

2. It may be accentuated in the sim - I remember when the upgraded FS9 POSKY 747 came out with enhanced suspension and it could be a bear, even to the point of being overly sensitive when loading in with a severe crosswind.

3. Make sure you use proper crosswind technique when taxiing - apply (varying) aileron into the wind as airflow under the upwind wing will cause it to lift. If you want realism then it needs to be handled realistically.

Mostly a fun video of extreme flying in airshow conditions but watch the body roll on landing at about 6:10-6:30 in split-screen and if you watch closely you'll even see it in the take-off run
