Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Captainsim RAF S.E.5

Another great aircraft from Captain Sim: the RAF S.E.5.
For me, this plane is a must-have.
The Polish livery is another plus.

The only downside is the heat haze effect from the side vents—it distorts the graphics a bit.

It’s a Marketplace aircraft, so the files are encrypted, and I’m not sure if it can be turned off.
But either way, I’m really enjoying the plane.

If anyone has purchased this aircraft, I would like to ask if you are also seeing this "texture distortion" effect caused by heat haze, or if it is just me.

Best regards,

Ooh, I might have to grab this one, now there is also hope that there may be a new triplane on the horizon... Seems Captain sim is on a ww1 roll.

I know but it's not very accurate in any sense, there was an FSX port over that was very good however it wasn't native & therefore won't run in VR.
