Carenado C152 Overstressed

When I was running XP I had the Carenado C152 but it never worked. Basically as soon as I loaded the aircraft on the active runway it come up with overstressed and and restarted the flight, then the same would happen again and again.

I attempted to contact their support but didn't receive a response, however just been searching around and have come across 1 or 2 posts that say this can be fixed with modifications to the aircraft.cfg file.

Does anyone know what the fix is?

I still have the software but before I load it and slow my system down even more I wanted to see if I can get the fix..

Has anyone else had this problem? I don't want to turn of the stress setting as I like the added realism

the 152 suffers from flight phobia. once it realizes you plan to take off in it, anxiety increases, and the stress becomes overwhelming. i reccomend counseling. also you might try just taxiing around, at increasing speeds as the aircraft becomes used to the idea of shedding the bonds of gravity.
patience is the key here, and sensitivity.

Do you know exactly what needs changing to fix this, i.e. what is the setting called and what does the value need to be. Also do you know what the location of the file that needs changing is?

I am sat at the start of the runway and haven't applied any throttle. Basically just clicked fly now after selecting C152 and airport...

I knew a 152 once that thought it was a 172 -once it looked in the mirror the shock almost killed it. As you say they are truley sensitive little planes.

Turn off crash detection in your settings. I never have it on myself anyway due to scenery conflicts causing aircraft crashes when taxiing.

If you hit the ground or do something stupid, you should know it already, don't need the sim to reset on you to drive home the point.

Also, it sounds like an issue with the contact points or MOI settings. if these are off for any reason, it will make the plane bounce all over the place. If you can, unzip the original and install into a new folder, away from FS and then copy and paste the cfg from the newly unziped file to the installed aircraft and give it a try. something as simple as a buggered line in the cfg from the instal process.

In the aircraft.cfg, in the Contact points section, try commenting out the crash points to see if they are the issue as shown below by putting // in front of the type 2 points: (using my example from teh D18S)

If that does not fix it, then it may be the 5th parameter in the type 1 points (2200 in the first 3 lines above). Increasing them to match other similar aircraft points may help.

Lastly, if those look okay, then in the main and center gear points, parameter 16 may cause this: see the SDK comments here:

16 (200) Damage from Airspeed The speed above which the landing gear accrues damage (knots). Not used for scrape points or non-retractable gear.

Copy and paste the following over it

according to the POH a Cessna 152 can handle +6G and -4G when loaded under the utility class in the WB chart

You should re-download it, or, at least, send an email to carenado, they will send you an upgrade. I did it, and all is ok now.
