Carenado Make Product for X Plane!

Looks like, in the screenshots from XP, that in the new edition, 'XP-10', they will have bump mapping.

Do we nick-name it XPX?

I hope it doesn't effect the flow of FX planes that come out each year:kilroy:
I hope it dont either.I wasted good money on Xplane and uninstalled it two weeks later.parts of it were ok,but no buildings at airports was was bad for one thing.

Some very big surprises coming in X-Plane 10 guys! AI, bump mapping and the rest is a secret...for now

My biggest issue with X-Plane 9 was the difficulty in setting up the controls to function the way I wanted. Finally got it done but when I updated it wiped out my settings. I haven't flown it since.

XPlane 10 is going to be a very good release. They've included many features we have in FSX. I'll probably buy it when it's out. I hope Carenado will find happy customers among XPlaners.

I've read somewhere that XP10 might will be compatible with Open Street Maps, it would give nice and accurate vector data.. They'll add new ATC system too.

Laminar Research already release three screenshots from XP10:

It does looks good.

EDIT: ryanbatc beat me ;)

AI, ATC, buildings at airports and more accurate road-/waterways would be nice.

Just flying isn't everything. ;P

Ultimate Terrain for land accuracy and REX features will be available. REX already is! Can't say anymore or I won't be on the beta team. All I can say is don't X-Plane 10 by what you now see in X-Plane 9

Addendum: They will still have to pry FSX out of my cold dead hands!

I've dug around a bit and I have to say the overhauled ATC/AI system sounds intriguing.

And they'll feature a Do-328. xP

If XP-10 lives up to those screen shots then I may finally take the plunge and add that to my collection.

I would imagine this will influence MS Flight as well since they'll be directly competing products - it looks like exciting times and it's good to see new quality sims coming out for the PC.
