Carendo King Air heads up

What paint schemes come with it? Interested in an RAF one! I might have to consider it if there is an RAF paint or someone working on one!

Hi Chris - this scheme is included.

Gosh, that looks nice. Loved the Aeroworx B200 in FS9 to bits. Question is, how does it fly?

well it has wings on it ,that due to theyre shape, create lift, then it has two turbo prop engines, which power,or propel the wings through the air to create that "lift" to make it fly...................:icon_eek:

If you have the C90 the B200 doesn't make much sense as they are very similar. Didn't notice anything 'better'. The next interesting step would be the upcoming 350i IMHO

I will definitely be waiting for a 350 to come out. This is still too close to being the Turbine Duke, imho. :mixedsmi:

I am starting to pick up the latest and greatest Carenado/Alabeo models, picked up the C90B KingAir, Cessna 337 Skymaster, Cessna 340, Cessna 188 and Waco. Next one up is the B200 King Air:jump:

Now, isn't that nice? So you don't have to spend your money to fly or own a real B200 because you know already that you don't like the way she handles ;)

Haven't flown a real one but I have friends with 100's of hours in King Airs. They all do the same thing, whether it's a C-90, 350 or a B-1900. Heavy on the rudder, heavy on the elevators and light on the ailerons. Know of a guy who did a full roll while keeping the "needles" centered on an ILS...

Looking at the carenado forum over at avsim, it seems pretty "buggy" release (yet again..!!).

So far I am not impressed. Looks stunning, but that is where it ends.. too many elementary "bugs" that should have been picked up in BETA and corrected. (not expecting something flawless - every developer issue a SP afterwards, but the kinda bugs should have been picked up..!

Depends what you call 'elementary' as there are hair-raising complaints over there (one of the reasons I stay away from Avsim) about bugs which aren't bugs at all, like the lag between power application and response, wheels sticking out of the nacelle, 'missing' heading bug click spots, etc..
Bert Pieke also mentioned that Carenado does have a beta team but they don't really listen. I didn't even get a beta before the release, I had to work with a half baked alpha version!

Just started flying a C-12 (A200) and I do agree but not about pitch, very light to me (ie pitch sensitive).

Can't believe the Avsim forums, agree with bstolle, one should know the subject model before calling out a "bug", love the guys that flew 1 hour in a C-172 and now know everything about fixed wing aerodynamics.

Most of my flight time is in 90 and 100 King Airs, but I have flown the 200. This one flies like a 200 to me. I can put in a control input or a power input and it does what I think it should do.

Most of those "bugs" at AVSIM aren't bugs. It does have a few things wrong with it and I'd expect there will be the usual SP's for it, but it is worth the buy for me now. It's gorgeous inside and out, flies fine, and the PT-6 engines act as much like the real ones as FSX seems to allow.

cheers,
steve :wavey:
