• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I rarely fly at night, but wanted to check out some REX textures. Thought I might as well share with anyone who would like to see what REX can look like.

I can't find a screenshots area on the forum, so I thought I would post these here. My apologies if they're in the wrong place.

The theme is called "Caribbean morning" and is now available to the REX community. Enjoy flying with it.

I have REX Essential plus and Soft Clouds installed - funny thing though..when I select an ORBX weather preset in FSX weather GUI
I get better performance than if I just use the REX injector or don't use the ORBX presets...even if I select an ORBX preset and then go back into user settings in FSX and make slight changes..increase or decrease cloud coverage or altitude or whatever...the performance is still slightly better than if I use /adjust default FSX weather presets or REX. This is departing Half Moon Bay with the fog and low clouds just beginning to burn off - there is a cumulus layer above and my FPS are 30-31 - this is ORBX preset #4 or 5...
If I set these conditions myself I would be running at something like 26-28 FPS
