Blues is Life
Hey guys,
Was on a little youtube musical journey....found this little gem...Carl Perkins and his many friends...one helluva classroom in that school.
Another from the same set with Carl, Clapton, and Ringo.

Hey All,

Hey... Hey... Ever notice how all EasyEd's posts start with Hey... I must be a product of the 50s... :mixedsmi:

Really good stuff!! :icon29::icon29::guinness::guinness::icon29::icon29:

I hope Clapton and Harrison learned something from the Master.

It was a really curious collection of people - I wonder how Roseanne Cash got linked in.

Now I'm cruising the Rockabilly stuff at Youtube.

Hey Ed,
Think you might like this set too. Roy Orbison and his many friends performing for a PBS special. Lets see, we have Roy, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, Bonnie Rait, KD Lang among others. I think Elvis's backing band is with them too. Guess it goes to show you it doesn't really matter what your musical background is, be it Blues, Bluegrass, Country, Rock, Soul, Jazz...etc...when folks just sit down and play together, music truely comes alive. :salute::icon29:

Cheers

Hey All,

Another great set - I've always liked Roy. And that is another interesting set.

On a personal note my wife and metal playing son son are groaning cause I was admiring that big Gretsch - I think it is - hanging around Roy's neck an thinking hmm it might be fun to start trying to figure out how to play guitar... I think George has a Gretsch in the fiirst set as well. I know I can getta smaller hollowed out solidbody Gretsch (I've always liked their sound) for about $700 and my B-Day is in a few days an I have a 30 watt amp already an hmmm...

You may be in trouble with my family! :bump:
