CBI Scenery Development: why bother?

I think there is campaign from the Japanese side called Dutch Harbor and done by TheBookie/it uses this scenery. He also had one from the US side but never released it.

Hey, Hiede: :wiggle:

Didn't Talon do some work up in the Aleutians? I seem to remember him once mentioning how tricky cfs2 MB object placement was at those higher latitudes. :banghead:

I took some time to create strips & scenery around Paoshan, Tsenchung & Yunnanyi as well...

Meantime, here a few shots of Kunming with some gsl added.

The airfield -

And the town itself. Did you know Kunming was a walled city until the 1950's?

Small correction to the list of airstrips mentioned above -

I meant Tengchung, incomplete in 1942, so just an emergency landing strip there, & also forgot to add the strip at Mang Shih.

Aloha Shadow,

I missed this post, sorry.Talon did 14 missions from the US side.Sopwith C did the planes for him.The problem wasn't placing the objects it was attacking them,it was all mountains in the area and the B-24 had problems attacking. On he other hand the PBY attacked fine, but you could slow it when it landed in the water and it crashed into the land. There were a few intercepts that worked fine.He did make a B-24 into a Glide Bomber and yes hey were used to do that, but it was used on a seaplane tender by an Island. He got bored I guess and there wasn't much interest.
