Marinevliegkamp De Kooy had very limited role in the Invasion of Holland in the days of May 1940. The 1st Java with it?s twelve Fokker D-21 planes was only temporarily as a guest on De Kooy. During the German attack these D-21?s downed six German planes. After the first day of the German attack De Kooy was no longer used as an airfield and the 1st Java no longer existed. Enjoy! Cees
