Centennial of Naval Aviation Flyover

We went to the big Flyover yesterday here. It was really well done, and the grand finale was when the entire air wing from the USS John C. Stennis passed over in formation. Here's a clip I found (not mine, but better quality). The cool part was as the planes passed by people all around the waterfront where we were watching from started clapping and the boats in the harbor all were blowing their horns.

It wasn't the entire airwing, but pretty kick ass regardless. Thanks for posting! Here's my video of the mass Shogun (CVW-9) groups launching out of KNKX for the flyover:

The mass launch was awesome... 2 hrs straight of jet noise from NAVY fighters, attack aircraft and Hawkeyes. Probably one of the coolest things I'll ever witness. Even a Flag can't compare because it doesn't have that much Navy awesomeness.

And a few pics from media day at NASNI...

My family and I saw everything from the ramp at NASNI, almost thought we would not get there in time as that bridge was a parking lot. Came in through the gate by the runway, Retired Navy ID card and DOD sticker opens a lot of closed doors. Awesome displays and spent time with old Squadronmates from HCS-5.

Couple of pics..

The Orion in classic colors looks awesome!

Any news on the P-3C to be painted in a "Strawberry 5" PBY scheme?
Paint hangar is waiting... :jump:

Cheers,
Markus.
