CF-101B Voodoo

Section F8's release of the Sabre got me thinking about other early CAF aircraft and then I remembered I had the AlphaSim F-101 Voodoo payware package for FS9. So, I got curious about how it'd run in FS X Accel. The visual model seems just fine but most of the gauges are FS98 and, therefore, no longer supported. However, by using Piglet's F-5A gauges, Section F8's F-86 gauges and a couple of stock gauges I've been able to breath some new life into this old favourite. It's a WIP and still needs things like a radio stack, afterburner effects, etc, etc, but it's coming along.

Here's a few screen shots for all the Canucks at heart. :cost1:

I don't suppose you would consider doing the same for the RF-101C? I would gladly trade for a rather natty custom (historically accurate) and unreleased 20th TRS SEA paint scheme made for me by Mr. Andy Nott of AGN Textures... :d

Well done for what you have achieved so far. :applause:

It took me a little longer to put a package together then I originally thought. :costumes:

It has been fun though because I ended up having to dig into the SDK and scratch the surface on xml gauge programming to make what our talented wizards would consider "a couple of minor changes". Let me tell you, I think many of us don't realize just how complicted some of the gauge programming can get. I know I have a new apppreciation for what's involved in creating what appears to a "simple" gauge.

To answer, Pultacatt's question, now that I've worked most of the kinks out I will probably do the single seat version as well but for now this is just for the dual seater.

OK, I'm off to see about uploading the package. EDIT: It looks like I need a special ID; as soon as I have one I'll upload the package.
