CFS1 WW1

German Scramble

Here are a few screens of my first completed mission. A one plane vs one plane scramble from Denain airbase. Having a tough time with one of the better editors causing the missions to come out with errors. The one that is very easy to use will not let the planes take off from the WW1 airbases in the scenery areas...For now I will just use the Denain and Cambrai airbases which are very close to some of the WW1 airbases and scenery.....Had a rough time getting a good action shot :icon_lol:

Denain airfield with stock scenery I put in....

Send me the mission that you are having problems with the add on airfields, I will take a look time permitting.

Dave

I deleted them so I will have to try making another one.....seems to be an aircraft error.....invalid type I believe....probably something simple but causing a huge headache.....Seems like there should be a way to add airfields to Cor Diklands mission editor.....I like using it ....very quick to build a mission with and rarely get errors....

Not to Cor Diklands, but yes to CFSME2 by Kieth Bedford...Do not let the 2 fool you, means version 2
not CFS2.

Have a CFS1 copy, new to it haven't tried much yet, but mad on CFS3. Not keen on the standard blak course lines on CFS1 standard prop discs, hoe theer's a fix some where for it.

But thanks I would like to try your expansin/ WW1 aircraft sometime. Please kep up up good work! Thankyou. Just a matter of getting round to it and finding all the bits! Cheers!:medals:

Hey Guys,

If you are running a stock CFS setup, I don't believe that aeroplane should cause problems. I believe I am using all stock gauges in that panel, but not all of them came from the same plane.

The aspect ratio of your image doesn't look quite right though.

- Ivan.

Ivan,
The problem is not your plane.

Iculter,
I PM'd you and yes between Ivan, Hubba or smilo I am sure they have a fix for everything.

Andy,
I think we have already emailed the fix, let me know.

I resized the screenshots to be larger so they may be distorted......... I believe the problem with the editor is with not having the planes aliased to a stock aircraft....going to run a test and see if I can eliminate the error.....Always seems to take some time to get used to different mission editors.......

OK I am in business now......:guinness:.....I put in all of the sound files from the stock camel into the Eindecker's sound folder and setup the plane to takeoff from Douai1 airfield........Loaded right up.........just misunderstood how to fix things up...:salute:

well jeez, i step away for a few days
and there's a flurry of new activity.
it's great to see a new thread
and all the interest in WWI cfs.

sweeteye,
the open source of cfs1 is an endearing feature
that keeps a few of us hanging around.
the detail might not be as good as newer sims,
but, the freedom to do what we want is a real plus.
not to mention, the work by a few
remaining first rate developers
like Ivan, hubba, No Dice, womble55,
and now, yourself, keeps the old sim alive.

i'm wondering if you've visited the kamel kings;
http://www.kamelkings.org/

keep up the good work. :salute:

I really like CFS1 for a number of reasons....Lots of free files available and the freedom to create and edit material for the sim.....I believe with some work you could make CFS1 almost as good as anything on the market....Aircraft can be created and made to be more realistic and scenery can be added to give it more eye appeal....The possibilities to develop CFS1 are endless it seems to me.....While the newer sims have great graphics and realism they seem to be very restricted for development by the users. Also I really do not care for internet activation for games either...There may be good reasons for it but it is still a turn off to me.

I almost forgot....Thanks smilo for the link to KamelKings....looks like more great material for CFS1...........:medals: keep running into more WW1 files...

Holy Smokes smilo !!!! installed the KamelKings scenery.....I do not even know where to start building missions....Have a lot of choices now!! Lots of new plane choices too !! Between you and NoDice I am loaded with WW1... not to mention all the files I downloaded some years ago:medals::medals::medals::medals::medals::medals::medals::medals::medals::medals::medals::medals:

that's great!
i'm glad we could help.
that should keep you busy for a while.

now, how do you feel about flying online?
i don't know if the kamel kings are still active,
but the AAC still flies every sunday at 12:00 EST.
every now and then, they climb into the stock sopwith.

I do like to fly online with others....A while back I did quite a lot of online flying using OFF phase 2....FS9 and FSX... Have not done much with Rise of Flight...Spent most of my time trying to figure out the ROF mission builder..

I visited the KamelKings site, Went to the downloads section and can't understand the French to figure out how to download. Any pointers or direct link?

- Ivan.
